Watch
ELKA MS04

L'histoire
ELKA MS04
Limited Edition of 100 pieces; numbered - The black and white aesthetic of photography is a timeless art form, a dance between light and shadow that captures the essence of a moment without the distraction of color. It’s this very spirit that inspires our two exclusive timepieces. One watch is a complete immersion into the depths of shadow, a whole black edition with a matching dial and bracelet. It's a tribute to the deep blacks and dramatic contrasts found in classic photography—a bold, confident statement that embodies sophistication and timeless style. The other is its perfect counterpart, a study in light. This whole white edition, with a pristine dial and bracelet, celebrates the soft whites and subtle gradients of a perfectly exposed photograph. It represents clarity, simplicity, and the pure, unadulterated beauty of design. Both timepieces are a homage to the art of black and white photography and the iconic aesthetics of the 60s and 70s. They are not just watches; they are wearable art, each a limited edition masterpiece designed for those who appreciate the enduring power of a monochrome palette. Christian Coigny's work
Black and White by Elka Watch
Inspired by the timeless black and white aesthetic of photography, these two limited-edition timepieces are a study in contrast and purity.
The “Shadow” edition is a total black watch with a matching dial and bracelet, a bold tribute to dramatic, high-contrast classic photography. Its counterpart, the “Light” edition is a pristine white watch, celebrating the clarity and soft gradients of a perfectly exposed image. Both watches are a modern homage to the iconic monochrome style of the 60s and 70s, designed as wearable art for those who appreciate the enduring power of a single-color palette.
Short Preview of Christian Coigny's work
Coigny's dedication to film photography and the integrity of the darkroom image—a process he describes as a “physical contact” that ensures the viewer sees exactly what he captured—perfectly mirrors our own commitment. This shared philosophy of purposeful, handcrafted creation inspires us to build watches designed not just for aesthetics, but to be cherished for their truth, beauty, and enduring style.
