Our story
From Amsterdam 1877 to Neuchâtel today.
ELKA was founded in Amsterdam in 1877 by Eduard Louis Kiek — "Watchmaker to the Queen" of the Netherlands, and a historic collaborator of Rolex, Ulysse Nardin and Heuer.
In 2022, after twenty years at the Swatch Group (Rado, Hamilton, Swatch), Hakim El Kadiri revived the ELKA name from a small atelier in Neuchâtel. Not as a nostalgic tribute, but as a Swiss maison with its own voice.
Every ELKA is hand-assembled in the Jura, on Swiss and La Joux-Perret movements, tested twice, and delivered from Rue du Musée 4, Neuchâtel.
"Form follows feeling. The watch should be quiet on the wrist, and loud in the memory."
